About Neill Clark

Neill Clark is a dedicated public servant, having been elected as a Council Member in November 2022. Prior to his current role, he served on the Sussex County Board of Elections from June 2021 to July 2022. With a strong commitment to community development, Neill has also held the position of President of Sparta Responsible Development. He brings 25 years of expertise as an antitrust and corporate fraud litigator.

As a Council Member, Neill Clark envisions a community that preserves and enhances Sparta's semi-rural quality of life. His commitment to democratic principles is evident in his dedication to listening to and heeding the will of the people of Sparta. Neill's goals for the future include improving recreational opportunities for residents, expanding Sussex County’s trail system, and protecting against ill-suited development. Grounded in his core values of empathy, diligence, and intellectual honesty, Neill Clark strives to create a community that reflects these principles.

Neill Clark's track record of significant achievements is marked by his role as a Commissioner on the Board of Elections, Deputy Mayor of Sparta and his current position as Mayor of Sparta. These accomplishments underscore his commitment to public service and community betterment.

Personal Life

Beyond his public roles, Neill Clark treasures his personal life. A proud family man, he is the father of four daughters and step-father to four children. Neill is happily married to Dr. Alexandra Miller-Clark and shares his home with two beautiful dogs. In his leisure time, Neill is a formerly nationally ranked masters runner with two national championships, and he has achieved world qualifier status in swimming/running races (Aquathlons). He also enjoys losing to his wife in tennis matches. His interests also extend to local and national politics.
